PEACEHAVEN AND TELSCOMBEThe
‘A’ Team started slowly, without scoring in their first game at
Preston. A tough season followed but it all came down to the last match
at Mackie where their fate was finally sealed. This means Division 2
this year.
The
‘B’ Team started strongly but our challenge fell by the wayside as both
Lancing and Woodingdean ‘B’ emerged as powerful opposition. Fortunately
we managed to avoid the embarrassing position of having to apply for
re-election for the second season running as did Lewes ‘B’. It seems
Hangleton ‘B’, having withdrawn from the league at the halfway stage,
have applied for re-election instead.

Kestrels
won the League again. The rewards for success were financial with £100
going to the League winners and £50.00 to the winners of the Jubilee
Cup. There was a severe danger that Kestrels would be able to afford a
night out on the tiles on the proceeds. But GUESS WHO prevented them
making another clean sweep? RIGHT! The FLYING FISH took the Jubilee Cup. The proceeds were spent at the pub of our Founder in Denton in January "between snows".
